Yale Updates: Reach Truck renovation, New Low Level Order Picker, and More!

Yale Material Handling Corporation, a part of NACCO Material Handling Corporation is always looking to stay innovative and ahead of the competition.  On June 7th, 2013 Yale announced the release of multiple updates on trucks and the introduction of new products to the North America region.  This update comes only two weeks after the release of Yale’s new electric class 1 ERP-VM truck announced on May 23rd. The announcement introduces two new products in the class 3 line to the North American market, further expanding the equipment available for warehouse applications.

New Warehouse Trucks

The M050T tow tractor is a robust compact machine with a 10,000 pound towing capacity to complement the previous MTR005-007E model tow tractors.  The new M050T has a higher capacity, was built with ergonomics and dependability in mind, and the overall length comes 5.5 inches shorter than the MTR models. The Yale M025 is the new “multi-level order selector” and is designed to allow the operator to pick loads at first or second level racking positions with a 5,500 pound load capacity.  The thirty-eight inch maximum platform height allows the operator to be at an elevated position untethered, all with a hands free control operated by foot switches.Yale M025

Reach Truck, Order Picker, 3-Wheel Truck Updates

Along with these new offerings, Yale announced several improvements to their warehouse forklift lineup.  The order picker, reach truck, and three-wheel standing products will be the first three trucks to incorporate the new Yale iSi Technology.  This innovation was designed to increase truck performance and operator efficiency, through adjustments via an onboard display panel. The onboard interface will offer: Diagnostics, Battery Runtime, and provides four operator selectable performance modes for optimal efficiency.  Perhaps the biggest improvement in user ergonomics is the newly-designed operator compartment in the Class II Reach truck.  The new design allows for users to easily switch between different models and brands of reach trucks without taking the time to learn and adjust to the former compartment.  The key features in the New Side Stance Handle design include:

  • Proportional control for all functions
  • Precise load positioning; increasing operator confidence and productivity
  • Adjustable functions to fit application and operating requirements
  • Contactless switches that can be serviced separately
  • Base electronics IP67 rated
  • Handle has weep holes that allow condensation to drain
  • In subzero freezer applications, the handle can be equipped with optional heater providing approximately 80°F grip temperature
  • Features generous comfort grip with thumb rest
  • Use with or without freezer gloves
  • Stable support for demanding needs of reach truck operators
  • Adjustable armrest and backrest are now standard; ensuring operator comfort
  • Backrest provides 6” of vertical adjustability – accommodating operators from 5th percentile female to 95th percentile maleYale Class 2 Reach TruckReach truck handle
