Forklift Truck for Good Causes
Forklifts have always been used for lifting pallets and industrial materials. With hundreds of Non-profits and charitable organizations popping up, there also comes the need for material handling of large quantities of donations. Each forklift truck has a hefty price tag comparable to a new car, and the purchase of a used or new forklift truck can be a costly investment for any business. Not for profit organizations are built upon donations, whether the donations monetary or physical items. There are hundreds of examples of forklift manufactures promoting social responsibility. In October of 2012, NACCO Materials Handling Group participated in Breast Cancer Awareness Month and custom painted a Yale Veracitor lift truck in the color of pink and was able to raise more than $8,000 for a breast cancer support group. One unique way that you can give back to the community and also increase your business’ goodwill is with the donation of your used forklift trucks and other material handling equipment. If you were planning on selling one of your used forklift trucks for scrap with thousands of hours on it, why not donate it to a cause that would put your old equipment to use!
Below are several causes that accept the donation of used material handling equipment and will come pick-up your donation FREE of charge. All of the following are 501(c)(3) non-profits, and all donations are tax deductible
